Solar-assisted CO2 capture with amine and ammonia-based chemical absorption:A comparative study

چکیده

Intensive energy penalty caused by CO2 separation process is a critical obstacle for retrofitting power plant with carbon capture technology. Therefore, the concept of utilizing solar to assist solvent regeneration post-combustion proposed recently as promising pathway compensate efficiency reduction derived from process. However, feasibility solar-assisted technologies largely depends on types absorbent, categories thermal collectors, areas field, and integration storage system. this paper conducts comparative analysis monoethanolamine-based NH3-based so-larassisted plants employing two i.e vacuum tube parabolic through collector, climate data Tianjin City, China. Levelized costs electricity cost removed are comparatively studied both configurations. Results show that configurations economically viable when price lower than 86.64 $/m2 117.29 plant, respectively. Meanwhile, collector should be less 111.12 114.51 plant. It indicated chilled offers approach reduce attractive economic performance.
